Biografia

Se c'è una realtà reggae che, negli ultimi anni, si è imposta a livello italiano ed internazionale, questa è senza dubbio costituita dai Mellow Mood. Una band che ha compiuto grandi progressi, a partire da quando ha partecipato alle finali di Italia Wave 2008 nelle vesti di singolare alfiere della reggae music in una manifestazione spesso votata al rock. Un anno dopo, ad ulteriore conferma della validità dei nostri, il Rototom Sunsplash – il festival reggae più grande al mondo – li incorona come miglior band reggae d'Italia e come terza migliore band europea. Il 2009 è anche l'anno del debutto discografico. "Move!", prodotto da Paolo Baldini (Africa Unite, The Dub Sync, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, ecc.), vende più di 6.000 copie senza una distribuzione ufficiale. Inizia un lunghissimo tour che vede i Mellow Mood esibirsi sui palchi più importanti d'Italia e d'Europa. Prestigiosi passaggi radiofonici, importanti collaborazioni con Africa Unite e Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, una miriade di dubplate per i soundsystem di tutta la penisola, tutte testimonianze di un consenso in forte crescita. Il pubblico della rete premia il video di "Dance inna Babylon" con più di un milione di visualizzazioni. A fine 2011 esce "Inna Jail", brano ipnotico e potente, che anticipa il secondo disco. Il 18 maggio 2012, ancora una volta con la produzione di Paolo Baldini, i Mellow Mood pubblicano il nuovo album, intitolato "Well Well Well", per l'etichetta indipendente La Tempesta International.

Biography (may 2009)

Mellow Mood is a reggae band from Pordenone (North-East Italy), which has started playing in 2005 They have been playing from Rome to Slovenjia, on important stages like Rototom Sunsplash, Bornasco Reggae Festival, Festintenda. In April 2008 they won the regional selections of Italia Wave, one of Italy's most famous competitions. On may 2009 they Won the Rototom Sunsplash Italian Reggae Contest and rank 3rd at the European Reggae Contest In june 2009 : the Italian "Move!" Tour in all the Italian biggest reggae festivals and stages
Productions: In 2006 they record at Esat Studio "Dem Crazy Jah EP", produced by Ras Antonio (B.R.Stylers, Earthground Combination), together with "Live @ Esat Studio" On January 28th 2009 "MOVE!" is released. "MOVE!" is their first full-length album, produced by Paolo Baldini (B.R.Stylers, Africa Unite, The Dub Sync).
