Jesus is the Christ..he died for our sins..take it or leave it...the disciples spent much time trying to keep the church straight...in the end if you are a believer you are part of the bride of Christ, theres nothing wrong with gathering together with other believers and worshiping God ,learning more about him..learning how to spread the good news of Jesus...it is the complacency of man that causes these acts to become religious, the question is ,  why and what are you doing them for ? to gain favor with God ? to think that it makes you holy? to socialize with others ? to keep yourself saved ? it goes on and on. I brush my teeth every day, I do it because I have too, thats all...I pray and read my bible everyday I want to know more about the Lord, I want to be closer to Him, I want to be a better follower and witness for Him , I love Him ! but sometimes I do it because I have too, does that make God happy ? God knows my finites as a man, he takes those things into consideration ....does it make it ok ?  no ! but If I am truly seeking God and what he wants for my life, He will kill the religious aspects that start to grow in my life. so I believe that we all are religious no matter how hard we try at times, I hate it and it can destroy the personal relationship one has with Jesus, so this is where were at, and with these things this is how we should live.

Unity in the body of Christ does not mean total conformity and uniformity. Although maintaining unity in the body is very important, it is also vital to value the unique qualities that make each of us an individual "part" of the body. Both aspects, unity and individuality, deserve emphasis and appreciation. This makes for a healthy church body, when we remember that Christ is our common denominator. He makes us one.        (I didn't write that)

Believing Jesus is your savior and having that personal relationship is Rule #1.
If you don't need any help understanding the entire doctrine, certainly you can help others understand the Bible's teachings. If you think a church is lame or you just disagree with their take on the Bible, search for another one. Start one in your living room. Whatever. Church is not the most important aspect, but it is very important.

AS FAR AS THE SHIRT GOES:
Paul tells us: that if you think its wrong to do something, then don't do it. It's a sin.
If xDeathstarx truly thinks the shirt is ok. Then, OK
If they did it for shock value, I think that's wrong. -Based on doctrine in the book of Paul.
People may be offended, based on the obvious first impression. That's wrong.
It would have been better as a blog or book or any other detailed media.
