In what can only be described as a freak accident, three people were injured and one killed at Toronto’s Downsview Park this afternoon as Radiohead prepared for their show this evening. A large section of ironwork collapsed onto the stage. Since the venue was not open to fans yet, those injured are believed to be a member of Radiohead’s tour crew.
The band hasn’t made a public statement yet, but simply sent out a hasty tweet to fans that tonight’s show has been cancelled. The Toronto police have indicated that the deceased man was in his thirties. His name is not being released until his family can be notified. Two of the other men were treated and released with minor injuries. The third man, age 45, received a serious but non life-threatening head injury during the incident.
oh my god.. fans in toronto must be disappointed
I WILL PRAY FOR RADIOHEAD TO BE OK
