We’ve been anxiously waiting for four years, and it’s finally time for a new Alanis Morissette album. The disc’s first single “Guardian” may not come out until May 15th but you can currently view an exclusive lyric video of the song thanks to our friends at MetroLyrics.

The lyric video takes place in an expansive landscape and the song sounds like classic Morissette. Moreover the fact that this is a lyric video puts extra emphasis on the words of this uplifting anthem, especially when Morissette sings lines such as”I’ll be your keeper for life as your guardian / I’ll be your warrior of care, you’re first warden.”

The song will be on Morissette’s upcoming disc Havoc And Bright Lights, which comes out on August 28th and is expected to contain 11 additional tracks. The disc will be the follow-up to 2008’s Flavors Of Entanglement which featured the singles “Underneath” and “Not As We.”
