Toti Denaro

Bio:

Toti Denaro was born in Rome on 4th May 1975 and started his musical training in 1991 with Sebastiano Alioto. He participated in drum seminars of some of the finest master percussionists across Italy: Agostino Marangolo, Ettore Fioravanti, Peter Erskine, Christian Meyer, Ellade Bandini, Giovanni Imparato. His musical career is often enriched by travelling and touring abroad, where he has the opportunity to perform with several master percussionists leading him to an intensive study of African and Afro-American music. Flexible and versatile, Denaro’s experience also includes working in a number of collaborations and performances in many different fields of music. He has always been interested in arts as a form of expression, working as performer and composer. Enjoying his career even in theatrical fields, he has composed and arranged music for shows; he appeared in “I 100 passi”, a movie by Marco Tullio Giordana, in which he performed live with other percussionists. He has performed at various music festivals, such as Womad and Telethon, and at international TV broadcastings: Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Serbia, Croatia, Malaysia etc. Currently, he works as a drum teacher, regularly does studio recording for some artists and also works as a clinician at fairs and show cases. He also has the great opportunity to perform as a classical percussionist. He has played with: Mimmo Cavallo, Edoardo De Angelis, Albert C.
