  • Bio

It was January 17, 1977 when I had my first guitar lesson at Desimone's School of Music in Solon, Ohio. I would practice for hours & hours (wood shedding) everyday trying to nail down my favorite songs & solos. In 1984, I joined a local cover band named "Quick" which introduced me to the local Cleveland/Akron music scene. In 1986, I started playing with an all originals group named "Dreamstreet". In 1987, I then went on to play with another all originals group named "DEFCON" which ultimately landed a production deal that relocated the group to Chicago, Illinois. While In Chicago, we had the opportunity to record along side of some great musicians/producers including Rudy Sarzo of Whitesnake & Frankie Sullivan of Survivor. After DEFCON disbanded in the fall of 1991, I then moved to Los Angeles where I immediately started playing lead guitar for Cherie Currie, formerly of the female rock group "The Runaways". Cherie & I became great friends & co-wrote a lot of music together including several songs for film (Cyber Bandits, Oliver Stone) & TV. After repeated exposure in the LA recording studio scene I also became a hired session player recording guitar tracks for many artists such as Eddie Money (Love & Money Album), Robin McAuley (Michael Shenker Group), John Wetton (Asia), Rita Coolidge, Mark Andies (Heart), Curly Smith (Boston) & Roxy Petrucci (Vixen). Once the Grunge wave started taking over and it became "not cool to shred" I shifted my efforts to writing music scores intended for Film & TV and even some country music. After all of the networking, shmoozing, countless recording sessions and even landing my first song in a motion picture, I decided in the fall of 1994 that it was time to move back to Ohio where I continue to live today with my beautiful wife MaryAnne & our two children. .. .... .. .. .. .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .................. .. ..

There are days that are good.

And there are days that are bad.

But the best days are when the sun shines.

And we feel the heat that lets us know we're alive.
