TIDE is a rock band formed in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 1998. The band consists of Kevin Newman Koradin (vocals, guitar and keyboards), Matej Batelic (bass guitar), Tine Cas (guitar) and Anze Zurbi (drums). In 1998 Kevin worked as studio musician in Amsterdam, the Netherlands where he recorded several demo tapes alongside Kenji Hino on the bass and Mikkel Brink on the drums. However, the band was formed only when Matej Batelic joined Kevin and Mikkel, replacing Kenji Hino. They immediately headed for a short tour in the US and afterwards recorded the whole album with producer Peer Rave and engineer Matthijs van der Speck. Shortly after that Mikkel returned home to Denmark while Kevin came to Slovenia where a new chapter began for Tide. After the release of the debut album Seven Days in 2005 the band quickly drew attention and performed in practically all the main clubs and festivals around the country, including Exit festival in Serbia in 2006. Videos like “Release My Gun” and “Evolution” received a heavy rotation on MTV Adria and were at the time also included on MTV Europe's World Chart Express. Tide supported Iron Maiden on their stadium gig in Ljubljana and were nominated for MTV - New Sounds of Europe award in 2007. In the summer of 2007, the second album “Nothing to Lose” was recorded at Markant Recording Studios close to Eindhoven in the Netherlands. “Nothing to Lose” spawned their first radio singles including “Waiting for the rain” which gave Tide even more media exposure. In December of 2008 after the conclusion of the very successful ''Nothing to Lose'' tour Kevin took a break and went to Amsterdam for nearly a year where he wrote and recorded all the material for the latest album titled simply “Regeneration”. Two new members Tine Cas on the guitar and Anze Zurbi on the drums joined the band. Regeneration was the most personal, melodic, mature and emotional album for the band, produced by Clifford Goilo and Kevin Koradin. It was finally released in 2010. After the first single and video from the album entitled “Adieu” topped the charts in Slovenia came the release of the second single “You” followed by the “Regeneration” tour which once again brought the music to all the major music venues in the region. Regeneration produced a few more successful singles with the songs ''To be your lover'' and the Slovenian version of the ''Waste no time'', entitled ''Tvoja stvar'' in the Slovenian language. The band has been always known for its excellent live performances and for the second time in 4 years they performed at the Exit Festival in Serbia during the summer of 2010.
