I've been playing guitar since I was 19 , after a short period of classical guitar studies. I learned electric guitar primal techniques and also I began to give ear to Metal music thanks to Ilario Suppressa (Hopesend’s guitarist) . I continued my self-taught studies listening to several genres (from classic music to metal music) focusing mainly on techniques. I started playing in bands that sound like Lynyrd skynyrd , Creedence , Clearwater Revival , Orme, Genesis Emerson Lake & Palmer ecc. . Currently I'm practising and trying to improve and extend my practical and musical skills over the typical standards and I owe this to my teacher Marcello Zappatore as well. As for overtone my playing is based on Steve Vai, Dream Theater and Malmsteen’s style and on my wild passion to blues, hard rock and 80’s Heavy Metal. Now I’m the lead guitarist of a Thrash-Death metal band called WARKNIFE. .. .. ..ITALIAN BIO: .. ..SpeedKing Fabrizio Rollo: inizio a suonare la chitarra elettrica a 19 anni dopo un breve periodo di studi su chitarra classica. Sotto la supervisione del maestro Ilario Suppressa (Hopesend) apprendo le tecniche basilari della chitarra elettrica e sopratutto scopro il metal!Successivamente continuo a studiare assiduamente da autodidatta cercando di toccare i più svariati generi musicali passando dal metal al blues dalla classica al jazz soffermandomi sopratutto su tutto ciò che riguarda la tecnica e l'espressività sullo strumento. In questi anni ho suonato in varie formazioni generi che spaziano dal rock-blues dei lynyrd skynyrd e dei Creedence Clearwater Revival sino al progressive rock delle Orme,Genesis Emerson Lake & Palmer ecc. Attualmente continuo a studiare svariate ore al giorno cercando di migliorarmi e di espandere il mio bagaglio tecnico e musicale oltre i canoni del chitarrista stereotipato grazie anche agli insegnamenti del maestro Marcello Zappatore. Il mio playing si basa sopratutto sullo stile di Steve Vai,dei Dream Theater e di Malmsteen per quanto riguarda le soluzioni armoniche e da una sfrenata passione per il blues l'hard rock e l'heavy metal anni 80!
