  • General

    Just about anything can interest me. I am the guy who likes rockclimbing as much as I do reading by the fire. Favorites include theatre, wine, film, travel, fantastical worlds, politics, corporate activism, and philosophy. Of course, the best is a great conversation.

  • Music

    I like a huge variety of music, everything from Mozart to Metallica with my favorites being male artists. I like movie soundtracks because they often get some of the best music from a variety of artists. I also LOVE musicals (yes, O.G.T. I know)and any music that can move my soul.

    I love movies! I like just about every type, but am really drawn to movies with a good plot. My top three:

    The best books to me though are fiction that have an incredibly deep philosophy behind them. I will absorb anything by Terry Brooks or Terry Goodkind, Atlas Shrugged & The Fountainhead, Christopher Rice and Anne Rice novels, Wheel of Time series, Harry Potter series, Chronicles of Narnia series, The Lexus and the Olive Tree. See a pattern? Lots of variety.

Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone. At least once. I draw energy from being around people, and as such, they are an important facet of my life. I, in turn, am willing to go the distance for those that I hold close. My range of friends are as diverse as everything else in my life, but to be truly close to me, you have to be interesting, diverse, and open to new experiences. Above all, you must be an individual. Being true to yourself must come for you to be true to anything else. This of course means having integrity and being honest about yourself. This honesty should be coupled with a lack of fear for life. Strong emotions, commitment, honesty: all these things can be scary, but the best people in the world are the ones who look past that fear to live their life to the fullest. I also want someone who makes an impact in the world. It may be as simple as donating time to the local community group or as permanent as being a child psychologist, but I view anyone who doesn't feel the need to better the world as a waste of space. I look for people who are going to enrich my life, and who want me to return the favor. More than anything I want to meet people that I can be friends with, enjoy life with, and who will care for me as much as I care for them.
