  • Profile 1.0

When we launched the new Myspace last month, we set out to create a fun, intuitive, and engaging social entertainment experience that connects you to the topics you love.

Since then, we’ve been listening carefully to your feedback and are happy to announce that users who haven’t upgraded can choose to keep their 1.0 profile the way it is for now. Additionally, 1.0 users will also be able to continue to edit their profile just as they always have.

Here are some additional product features that we’ve either made or are planning to make in direct response to your comments and suggestions.

    Comments
We’ve increased the character limit on comments from 300 to 1,000

We’re re-launching “comment back,” which provides an easy way to directly post to other people’s profile from your own.

We’ve introduced threaded commenting so you can reply to comments inline to keep the conversation going.

    Coming Soon
In the next few days, we’re bringing back support for animated .gifs

On top of that, we’re enabling you to change your profile picture whenever you hover over your current pic. This will be available in the next few weeks.

We’re increasing character limit on status updates from 140 to 700. You’ll see this go live by the end of this month.

We’re constantly improving our products and we’ll make sure that we keep you updated about important changes.
