Sono nato nel 1961, Lavoro da alcuni anni come programmatore informatico presso una piccola software house di Firenze ma la mia vera passione è il suono e la musica. Mi occupo di molte cose tra cui sonorizzazioni, installazioni, colonne sonore, performance e happenings, cinema, letteratura e poesia. Forse troppe? in effetti lo sono però la passione è molta. Sono in realtà interessato a tutte le forme espressive, in particolare quelle che vedono la collaborazione di più sensi contemporaneamente. Negli anni 80 ho suonato in un gruppo che si chiamava REDOX. Adesso non ho una formazione definita e collaboro con tante persone diverse a seconda dei progetti che organizziamo come 'Distant Noise e 'Noise Theoria'. Da diversi anni faccio parte di una associazione che si chiama OFFICINE C.R.O.M.A (www.officinecroma.it) Che cerca di organizzare eventi, spettacoli e performance. Faccio anche parte di un'associazione chiamata F.K.L. (www.klanglandschaft.org) che si occupa di ecologia acustica e paesaggio sonoro. Nel 2001 ho fondato insieme ad altri amici il KOAN LOOP ENSEMBLE una formazione aperta basata sull'improvvisazione interattiva.(www.myspace.com/koanloopensemble) ULtimamente ho scritto alcuni articoli su argomenti sonori su alcune riviste specializzate e mi stò dedicando alla scrittura di testi didattici e non. I was born in Florence in 1961. I have been working as a computer developer in a small software house in Florence, Italy, for a few years but my true passions are sound and music. I am interested in many aspects involving sound, such as: ambient music, installations, soundtracks, performance and happenings, cinema, literature, and poetry --too much perhaps? Maybe, but my passion is big. Actually, I am fond of all forms of expression, particularly the ones involving several senses simultaneously. In the 80’s I used to play in a group called REDOX. Today I do not belong to any specific group and work with many people as a freelance, based on the projects we organize –such as “Distant Noise” and ’ Noise Theoria’. For many years I have been a member of the OFFICINE C.R.O.M.A association (www.officinecroma.it), which organizes events, shows and performances. I also belong to the F.K.L association (www.klanglandschaft.org) dealing with acoustic ecology and soundscape. In 2001 some of my friends and I co-founded the KOAN LOOP ENSEMBLE –an open group based on interactive improvisation. (www.myspace.com/koanloopensemble). Lately I have written some articles on sound connected topics that were published by specialized magazines. I am also creating written teaching materials focusing on sound. "Illuminismo" è uno di quei motivi che non ti levi più dalla testa. Incalzante come una marea crescente, potente come una fiaccola accesa nella notte dell’inconscio, racconta in un’istantanea il sogno di razionalità onnicomprensiva dell’uomo, e il suo fiero marciare verso un mondo che non tarderà a mostrarsi invece folle e catastrofico. Non stento a dire che è un piccolo grande capolavoro del multi-verso musicale di Massimo Liverani.
