Hailing from Denver, Colorado, this female fronted band brings a new and fresh excitement to the hard rock and metal music genre. Due to their wide range of influences, their music has a one of a kind sound. They are a new force not to be taken lightly, with their heavy guitars, haunting vocals and diverse rhythms. Try taking music styles from bands like Sevendust, Atreyu, Mudvayne and adding a badass female vocalist in the style of Lacuna Coil, In This Moment and Evanescence. If you like that mix, you’ll love Born In Winter. .... Born In Winter has been together for 5 years in Denver (8 years total) and has put out 4 full length albums. They just released their newest album “Paper and Roses,” (produced by Ahrue Luster with Illustrious Productions) in August 2008. Ahrue Luster is the lead guitar player for the Roadrunner Records signed band “Ill Nino.” His expertise and experience has helped Born In Winter reach a new level with their songwriting on Paper and Roses. They are taking the next step with the professionalism of the new album to reach new heights on a National level. .... Born In Winter has played many shows across the west coast, the Midwest and all over Colorado. They are always looking to play shows out of town and gain new fans and exposure. Over the past couple of years they have blown up in the Denver scene playing some of the biggest and well known clubs, theaters and stadiums including: regular rotation at the well known Herman's Hideaway, The Bluebird Theater, The Gothic Theater and the Pepsi Center! (Home of the Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Crush) The release of the new album “Paper and Roses” in August 2008, was followed up by a 3 week east coast, US tour. The tour covered more than 15 states and 6000 miles, which shows this band is willing and ready to hit the national scene with full speed! .... Their stage presence and showmanship is one of a kind, especially with having 2 females in the band. They’re building their fan base with every performance and making a name for themselves through hard work and determination. What keeps Born In Winter alive and running is the fact that they are like family. Their bonds are strong and will persevere through any obstacle in their path to success. Created in the season of icy cold darkness, a light screams through called Born In Winter. Hailing from Denver, Colorado, this female fronted band breeds new life to the hard rock and metal genre of music. With a wide range of influences from a group of talented performers, Born In Winter brings their music to new heights with heavy guitars, funky bass, diverse rhythms and amazing vocals. Fans of this band range from kids and teenagers to middle aged crowds from all styles and tastes in music. If you like to sing along, jump in the mosh pit and then chill to some beautiful melodies, you will certainly love Born In Winter.

Born In Winter has been around since 2005 in Denver and has a history of almost 10 years. They have put out 2 albums with most of the current lineup and are planning to release a 3rd full length album in early 2011. Their previous album “Paper and Roses” was released in Fall 2008 (produced by Ahrue Luster from Illustrious Productions) and had amazing reviews. They are currently working with Lance Bendiksen (Bendiksen’s Productions) on one of their singles from the new album. Also in the works is their first official music video to be released in digipack format on the new album. We expect great things from Born In Winter through 2011 and beyond!

One of the things that set’s Born In Winter apart from the rest, is their commitment and dedication to their art. Determined to go places on a national level this band has set out on several tours that are booked, financed and played all by the members of Born In Winter. They have as an unsigned band, played over 30 of the 50 states in the US, all with no label support or management. They frequently play the popular venues in Colorado, including: The Gothic Theatre, Bluebird Theatre, Herman’s Hideaway and the Pepsi Center. They have a great hometown crowd are continuing to grow their fan base from all over the country and world.

Their stage presence and showmanship is one of a kind, especially with 2 females in the band. They’re building their fan base with every performance and making a name for themselves through hard work and determination. What keeps Born In Winter alive and running is the fact that they are like family. Their bonds are strong and will persevere through any obstacle in their path to success.
