Nothing new ever happens in the Netherlands - except for now. Finally the production of 'Gecoltiveerde Aap' is completed. The album style is bizarre, stylish, awkward, lighthearted - not the typical Dutch producing. It's dance, funk, soul and humour.
All praise to Crookram, who mixed, edited and did almost everyhting else. Without his help, this project wouldn't be possible. When I was already sick and tired of the tunes, he kept his attention in order to make the sounds as fresh as possible... For those who haven't done it, check out his debut Through windows.

It's almost there, the album I have been working on for a while. Crookram's been busy with the editing and he did a tremendous job! So if my producing sucks to some people, they can still enjoy his mixing skills ;)
The title is 'Gecoltiveerde Aap', which means, roughly, 'Cultivated monkey'. Some people may stress that 'gecoltiveerde' is not good Dutch. That's true. This is Amsterdam slang in the sixties.

hi everyone... just an update for anyone interested...
it's the darkest of winter on this part of the globe, but there will be another spring, and this spring will be joined with the warm and funky soulful sounds of my album. so, more joyful times are ahead!
crookram and i are more or less finishing the production - and we have set the release date on may 5th in 2011.
please keep checking the albums of crookram and sagesse on bankrupt recordings!
just to let you know: we decided to postpone the release of my album till 2011. this is because the editing takes a lot of time, and the sunny feel of the album deserves more sunshine than this cold, misty, rainy autumn weather we have now.
