Teo Ederle, Verona 25-2-62
Poli-strumentista, compositore, arrangiatore, produttore.
Studia al conservatorio di Verona: Violoncello, Organo, Trombone a tiro. Studia da autodidatta: Chitarra, Basso, Flauto, Sax, Batteria. Insegna Basso, Chitarra, Programmazione midi synth & computer + Teoria & Solfeggio + Musica d'assieme. Comincia l'attività  professionale nel 1984 e da allora cerca di esplorare qualunque forma musicale in chiave sperimentale: dall'elettronica (Art Erios, Teok Hamola, Blue neptune, Open Pussy, P.I.P.), al progressive (Dott. Sottile e i Mostri Matematici), al cross over (Hal 9000), al funky (Fritz Mc Entire, Nick Taylor). Dall'avant-garde di NY (The Bang) con Tim Berne, Roberto Zorzi, Percy Jones, Mark Feldman, Bobby Previte, a quella nostrana (Garlic, Full Metal Klezmer, Perpetual Motion Food, Fractal's Fruits). Dall'acid jazz (Jay Rodrigues, Marc Abrams, Young NRG, I Vigliacchi del Jazz, The Groove Tasters), al hip-hop (Codice Rosso, dj Zeta, Bassi Maestro, Mondo Marcio), al rock d'autore (Zum Teufel, Farabrutto), al blues rurale (The Spiders), per arrivare al reggae (Reggadelica) che ha notevolmente indirizzato verso il progetto Teo & the Bombs. Con Teo & the Bombs, Teo cambia totalmente il proprio ruolo rispetto ai Reggadelica, da batterista e produttore artistico a cantautore reggae, chitarra, voce e tutto il resto (produzione, grafica, ecc.). Alla fine del 2003 esce il primo cd Via da me. Ma nel 2004, incapace di star fermo in un ruolo fisso, si mette a studiare Contrabbasso ed entra nel Trio del vibrafonista Tommo Castiglioni , con il quale produce nel 2006 "Guado sul Vago", un CD dal sapore etno-jazz, con l'apporto di Ernesto da Silva alle percussioni africane e come guest Stefano Benini, uno dei più apprezzati flautisti jazz italiani.
Nel 1995 avvia la collaborazione con Dj Stex e Young NRG, che continua a tutt'oggi, con l'unione nel "Calderone" Young NRG Music Store di varie labels indipendenti, con l'intenzione di aprire una finestra diretta con chi fruisce della musica in rete, senza nessun intermediario, in definitiva applicare il sano principio: dal Produttore al Consumatore!
In questi ultimi 3 anni si è dedicato a vari progetti: Teo & the Bombs e BassoRitmoAcquar, convogliano in un'unica formazione BRA. The Spiders Blues Band sforna "Lexinia": un concept album dove si espandono i territori di ricerca, ammiccando a certe correnti Psichedelic-Progressive Rock degli anni '70. Si unisce come contrabbassista alla Joe's Street Band, capitanata dal "cuggino" Joe Chiericati, pianista e cantante, ormai non più promessa del Blues-Swing-New Orleans nostrano. Dasya, duo Elektro Nu-Jazz (Teo + Dj Stex + Guests) fa uscire "Walkin", miniCD di tre brani interpretati da Rhonda Moore, cantante e ballerina newyorkese di indubbie qualità timbriche e di estensione sulle note basse. Sempre con Dj Stex parte "Feline Phonic", un ensemble totalmente elettronico, sul versante Break-Beat, attualmente in classifica nei più grandi distributori del genere. Anche un vecchio desiderio prende forma: "Carry On", una tribute-band dedicata ai padri della West-Coast: Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; in questo caso la formazione è un trio: Teo Chitarre-Voce, Antonio Canteri Armoniche-Voce e Francesco Palmas Chitarra-Voce, che sostituisce Stefano Bersan, altro valente chitarrista-cantante dell'interland veronese. Sulle orme di Garlic, nasce un'altra band Trio-Improvvisation oriented: "CrabTree", improntata però a divulgare certo Jazz-Rock anni '70 (B. Cobham, Weather Report, P. Metheny, etc..), più brani originali. L'ultimo progetto in ordine di tempo è nato da un'idea di Carlo Ceriani, apprezzato direttore-compositore-chitarrista: "Dylaniana", dedicato a una rilettura di brani di Bob Dylan, con Davide Agnoli ai sassofoni, Teo al CB e Paolo Mappa alla batteria.

Lao-tsu Productions è un'associazione culturale che raccoglie un numero indefinito di musicisti che operano nel campo sperimentale e di ricerca. Non c'è alcuna restrizione dal punto di vista "genere musicale": viene esplorata, smembrata e riassemblata qualunque forma sonora d'espressione, dalla classica al rock, al jazz, al reggae, blues rurale, cantautori e a tutti i contesti dance ( house, techno, trip-hop, jungle, drum'n bass). In pratica LTP è una casa di produzione che si muove in ogni ambiente sonoro, rigorosamente su contesto di ricerca. A tutt'oggi però, è considerata anche da riviste specializzate una vera e propria label. Ovviamente, ci sentiamo in dovere di sottolineare l'orientamento culturale dell'iniziativa, fermo restando che i nostri prodotti appartengono sicuramente all'area cosiddetta "non commerciale", ma non è detto che non siano "commerciabili".

Teo Ederle was born in Verona on February 25th 1962. He is a multi-instrumental player, a composer, an arranger and a producer as well. He studied cello, organ & slide trombone and, at the same time has attained experience in playing instruments such as a guitar, electric bass, double bass, saxophone, flute & drums. He is now working also as a teacher of bass, guitar, midi synth & computer programming, musical theory and solfeggio. He is also as a conductor in the direction of musical ensembles. Teo's professional activity began in 1984 and since then he never ceased to explore a lot of musical genres, from Electronic (Art Erios, Teok Hamola, Blue Neptune, P.I.P.), to Progressive (Dottor Sottile and I Mostri Matematici), to the Cross Over (Hal 9000), the Funky (Fritz McEntire, Nick Taylor), from the New York Avant-Garde (The Bang) with Tim Berne, Roberto Zorzi, Percy Jones, Mark Feldman, Bobby Previte, Herb Robertson, to our domestic repertoire (Garlic, Full Metal Klezmer, Meshuge Klezmer Band, Perpetual Motion Food, Fractal's Fruits), from Acid-Jazz (Jay Rodrigues, Marc Abrams, Young NRG, I Vigliacchi del Jazz, The Groove Tasters), to the Poetry-Rock (Zum Teufel, Open Pussy, Farabrutto), the Hip-Hop (Codice Rosso, dj Zeta, Bassi Maestro), the Rural Blues (The Spiders), the Reggae Music (Teo & the Bombs) and the Etno-Jazz (Tommo Castiglioni Trio). It must be added, though, that Teo & the Bombs reveals a change of role if compared with Reggadelica, in that Teo shifts from the role of drummer and art producer to that of Reggae Songwriter (where he still performs as a guitar player and lead vocalist, plus production manager, cover's graphic project, etc.). The first result of this effort is presently to be issued under the title Via da me (Away from me). But in 2004, begins to play the double bass and features in the Tommo Castiglioni (Vibes) Trio as a bassist and producer in the 2006 CD: "Guado sul Vago", with Ernesto da Silva (African Percussions) and guest star Stefano Benini (Flutes and Didjeridoo), one of the most apprecied italian jazz musicians.
In 1995 Teo starts the cooperation with Dj Stex and Young NRG, which continues up to the present time, with the union in the YOUNG NRG MUSIC STORE cauldron, with the intent to open a window directed to who enjoys the music in net, without no intermediary, in definitive apply the healthy principle: from the Producer to the Consumer!
In these last 3 years he is involved in various projects: Teo & the Bombs and BassoRitmoAcquar, flows in a unique formation: BRA. The Spiders Blues Band get out "Lexinia": a concept album where the territories of research are expanded, winking to certain Psichedelic-Progressive Rock tides of the '70s. In 2007 he joins as doublebassist to the Joe's Street Band, headed by Joe Chiericati, pianist and singer. Dasya, Elektro Nu-Jazz duo (Teo + Dj Stex + Guests) makes to go out "Walkin", a three songs CD , interpreted by Rhonda Moore, singer and dancer from New York. Always with Dj Stex it departs Feline Phonic, an electronic ensemble, in the Break-Beat mood, currently in Top Charts in the biggest distributors of the genre. Also an old desire takes form: "Carry On", a tribute-band devoted to the fathers of the West-Coast Music: Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; in this instance the group is a trio: Teo Guitars-Vox, Antonio Canteri Harmonica-Vox and Francesco Palmas Guitars-Vox, that replaces Stefano Bersan, other capable guitarist-singer. On the Garlic's tracks, another Trio-Improvvisation oriented band is born : CrabTree, oriented to divulge certain '70 Jazz-Rock (B. Cobham, Weather Report, P. Metheny, etc.), and original tunes. The last project in order of time was born from Carlo Ceriani, appreciated director-composer-guitarist: "Dylaniana", devoted to a re-interpretation of Bob Dylan's songs, with Davide Agnoli on Saxophones, Teo on DBB and Paolo Mappa on Drums.

Lao-tsu Productions is a cultural association which picks up an indefinite number of musicians who work in the experimental and research field. There is not restrictions under the point of view "musical kind": is explored, dismembered and regathered any loud expression form, by the classical one to the rock, to the jazz, to the reggae, rural blues, singers songwriters and to every dance context (techno, trip-hop, jungle, drum' n bass house). In practice, LTP is a production house which moves in every loud environment, strictly on research context. Up to the present time however, label is also considered by specialized magazines a true and one real. Obviously, feel in duty to point out the cultural initiative trend, still remaining that our products certainly belong to the so-called area "not commercial", but it is not said that "marketable" are not.
